A deep-sea expedition from the University of Delaware has set off into the Pacific Ocean to study hydrothermal vents. The fun the team will encounter includes high water pressure, burning hot water and the pitch black of the deep sea as they head 1-2 miles down to the ocean floor to learn about marine viruses, protists and bacteria.
