Do You Eat Eco-Friendly Fish?

Seafood is popular, healthy and the food of choice for millions. But the harvest of fish can also have drastic consequences for the environment and other marine life. Not all fishing is bad, and that's the bottom line of the sustainable seafood guides that have become more popular in recent years.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium and Blue Ocean Institute, among others, have developed online, printed and cell phone guides to help you choose the seafood that has the least environmental impact. You can read my new guide to the sustainable seafood guides, and I'd love feedback on the guides you've used and if they've been helpful.

Do the guides and other information on seafood harvesting influence your choices when you purchase seafood in a store or order it in a restaurant? Let me know in the poll or share your opinions in the comments or forum!
