Depending on your knowledge of marine biology, the above question may make you think for a second, or might make you laugh. Over the years I've worked on whale watch boats, I've heard this question a lot, so I thought I'd set the record straight.
Even though they live in the ocean and propel themselves with tails, whales are not fish, and actually have much more in common with us than with fish. For example did you know that a whale can't breathe underwater like a fish can?
