Photos of Humpback Whales

From Jennifer Kennedy, About.com

Humpback whales are found in oceans worldwide. They are a baleen whale, which means they use baleen plates hanging from their upper jaw to filter their prey from the ocean water. Humpback whales are 40-50 feet long on average, and weigh about 30 tons.

Humpbacks are a favorite of whale watchers, and are known for their spectacular breaching and feeding displays, some of which are shown in this image gallery.
