From the article: Oil Spill in Gulf of Mexico
On April 20, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. It eventually sank, leaving an oil leak and threatening marine life and habitats in the Gulf of Mexico. Since the Gulf of Mexico is such a huge area, many will be affected by the spill. Have you heard news not covered by the site? Are you going to volunteer for the spill? Has the spill affected your activities in the Gulf of Mexico? Share your experiences with the spill or any recent news here! Share Your Story

- They could easily plug this up ! They want to get the oil onto ships so that they can use it. Why are we allowing this ? We can put a man on the moon & we cant plug a hole ! How about putting slabs of concrete over the hole or sending concrete and boulders thru the pipes that started this? Or send a torpedo thru an empty BP tanker & sinking it to cover the hole. All they care about is containing the oil, not stopping it.

Why should we care about containing?!!
- why BP is trying to contain and "Siphon" the oil??!!! There are tons of ways to create an explosion at the leaking pipe to cap it and end it!!!!! Why nobody wants to stop the flow?!
